2018 Opening Hours and Prices

There are some important changes so please check dates and times carefully but we hope that this will enable us to welcome more visitors to the Tudor grounds and have more people celebrate their wedding in our beautiful grounds. We’ve also changed our opening hours for school holidays to let children explore even longer.

Manor Lodge Tudor Open Days                              11am—4pm

Every Sunday, Easter to Mid October (1st April to 14th October)

£3 per adult, Children Free*

Please note: we are not open on bank holiday Mondays


1940’s Open Days                                               11am—4pm

Third Sunday of the month April to October

£1 per adult, Children free*


Season Pass                                                        

All year access to Tudor and 1940s open days plus discounts on special events and lectures.

Rhubarb Shed Café (next to the Artist Studios)

Monday – Friday       9am—3pm

School Holiday Crafts      £4 per crafter (Two children for £3 each per adult season pass)

Tuesday to Friday in Sheffield School holidays         11am—3pm

Discovery Centre open until 4pm for play and outside exploration

Travelling by Car 

You can find us at either:

Free visitor car parking is available on site.

Travelling by Public Transport

Bus to Boundary Road / Southend Road: 56

Bus to City Road / Manor Lane: 7, 8, 8A, 41, 50, 50A, 71, 71A, 120 (+ 0.5 mile walk)

Bus to Manor Lane: 10, 10A

Bus to Manor Lane / Harborough Avenue: 24, 25 (+ 0.5 mile walk)

Tram (Blue Route) to Spring Lane / City Road (+ 1 mile walk through Manor Fields Park)

Tram (Yellow Route) to Cricket Inn Road (+ 1 mile walk via Maltravers Road to Manor Lane)

Train If you are coming from further afield to travel to Sheffield Manor lodge then why not get a Train to Sheffield From here you can get either the blue or yellow tram or a bus from Sheffield Interchange (5 minutes’ walk across the main road outside the train station and head right).

Dogs on site

Lots of local dog walkers use our open spaces for their daily walks but regretfully we cannot allow dogs into our Tudor grounds or farm area. Dogs are welcome at the outside picnic spaces at the cafe, on the arena and outside the Discovery Centre where they can admire the views over Sheffield. Guide dogs are welcome throughout the site.

Our aim is to make SML as welcoming and enjoyable as possible to everyone and we are continuously trying to improve the physical accessibility of our site.

We have disabled parking at the Discovery Centre and our new cafe has a disabled parking bay.  At Manor Cottages all parking is close by the entrance.

All sites have accessible toilets.
