Come face to face with two of history’s most formidable monarchs and their entourages. There’s lots of other historical high jinks to join in with on this fantastic family day out. Admire the majestic birds of prey of Mary’s falconers and, if you’re feeling brave, join in as they swoop through your arms.  Try your hand at archery or muster the kids for a spot of hobby horse jousting against the fearsome dragons.

The Ridgeway Forge will be showcasing traditional blacksmithing skills while the ladies of the court will be spinning and lace making. Henry and Mary might become your new style icons once you’ve dressed up in 16th century costumes and joined in with a workshop on hairstyles and wigs of the period.

Once you’re ready for a rest grab a deck chair and watch a spot of Morris dancing from the Sheffield Steel Rapper.

Tickets available on the day or in advance: Adult: £5, Child £2, Family £12

Discounts available for Season Pass holders and FoSML.

Please note: the rhubarb shed cafe is a 10 minute walk down hill to the farm site or 2 minutes via car and can get very busy. Snacks and drinks are available from the Discovery Centre.
