Meet Bess of Hardwick and hear the story of how she came to live in Sheffield and be the captor of the famous Scottish Queen for 14 years. Finally visit ‘Mary’s room’, a designed to look as though Mary has just left the room.
The tour will also include an exploration of the grounds including the garderobe, the apothecary’s garden and lavender labyrinth. In the Discovery Centre you can view finds dug up on on site by archaeologists from the University of Sheffield.
Buffets can be arranged from the Rhubarb Shed Cafe if you would like lunch in the Discovery Centre or why not visit the cafe on the Manor Oaks Farm site for a lunch or delicious cake and coffee.
