It is with heavy hearts we are letting visitors know that Mr Barnes’ farm and the 1940s cottages are closing and the animals moved to new homes. This has been a hard and difficult decision and one which we are incredibly sad to have to make. Countless businesses are being affected by the coronavirus epidemic and for our farm, no visitors over our doorstep means we are not able to look after animals in the way they need.
Meet the guinea pigs, rabbits, pygmy goats, donkeys, chickens, ducks, quails and pigs and join in with a petting session in the barn.
Adopt one of our animals and you're support will help look after our them and in return you'll get an adoption box filled with goodies.
Head into the barn to ride on our play tractors or take a dive into the straw pit. Outside there are plenty of traditional games to enjoy together.
Take a peek at what life in a 1940s cottage would be like. Every third Sunday of the month there will be special visitors and activities to join in.

Covid 19 Announcement
IIn accordance with the most recent government advice, and to protect our staff, volunteers and visitors, we are postponing the 2020 opening of our Tudor site indefinitely. This includes our school holiday craft activities and Easter Egg Hunt. We are also cancelling our April First Monday Lecture. A refund will be issued to all those that have bought tickets to our events.
We are very sad to have had to make this decision but we have taken the following into consideration: • The UK government has issued advice for people to work from home and avoid social contact • Emergency services cannot provide support for mass gatherings • Many of our volunteers are in the at-risk group and we want to ensure their safety • With the likelihood of reduced staff numbers, we will not be able to support our activities safely.
