We know how important getting out in nature is right now. From Monday the 12th April we are excited to once again open our Tudor grounds for family trails and outdoor crafts to enjoy together.Book your tickets
The safety of our visitors is our number one priority so to ensure social distancing, we have reduced our capacities and tickets must be booked in advance.
What to expect when we open
Family focused nature trails.
Craft to enjoy outdoors or at home.
Takeaway refreshments and Discovery Centre toilets are open.
The Discovery Centre activity space, Turret House and Rhubarb Shed cafe are closed.

Discover the Turret House and Tudor ruins
From Medieval deer park to a Tudor powerhouse, you can explore the story of Sheffield Manor Lodge including the intrigues and dramas of Mary, Queen of Scots' time in captivity. Through costume characters, self led trails and guided tours, Sheffield's Tudor history comes to life.
Explore meadow filled landscapes
Wander through a meadow haven, taking in colour strewn vistas and delve down to the detail of individual flowers and their pollinators. Explore a Tudor herb garden before loosing yourself in the lavender labyrinth.
Children's trails, activities and play
Enjoy our family nature trails and craft activities with a different theme each month (advance booking recommended). Bring your bucket and spade to our giant sandpit, climb around our adventure playground and run wild in our open spaces.
Treat yourself at the Rhubarb Shed Cafe
Serving a range of delicious food from ciabattas and salads to gourmet burgers and with a host of specials. There's vegan and gluten free options and a selection of tempting cakes to try.

(Yellow Route) to Cricket Inn Road (+ 1 mile walk via Maltravers Road to Manor Lane)
Travelling by Train
If you are coming from further afield to travel to Sheffield Manor lodge then why not get a Train to Sheffield.
From here you can get either the blue or yellow tram or a bus from Sheffield Interchange (5 minutes’ walk across the main road outside the train station)
