2019 Opening Hours and Prices

There are some important changes so please check dates and times carefully. We hope that this will enable us to welcome more visitors to the Tudor site and have more people celebrate their wedding in our beautiful grounds. We’ve also changed our opening hours for school holidays to let children explore even longer.

Manor Lodge Tudor Site                           

11am—4pm

Every Sunday, April to September

Turret House and grounds: £5 per adult including guided tour or family trail*

Grounds: £3 per adult*

Children 16 and under free

Tours run: 11:30am, 1pm and 2:30pm

Mr Barnes’ Farm                                         

11am – 4pm (Last petting session starts at 2pm)

Every Saturday and Sunday until 27th October (Please note: on 20th October the farm is open for Spookday visitors only)

Monday to Thursday in the Summer and October half term holidays

£1 per person   Children under 2 go free

We have changed our 2019 prices from those originally advertised online and in our event booklet so they are more inclusive and less expensive for our visitors. There is no longer a separate charge for activities once inside Mr Barnes farm and 1940s cottage. Thank you for your understanding.

Travelling by Car 

You can find us at either:

Free visitor car parking is available on site.

Travelling by Public Transport

Buses 7, 8, 50, 53, 71,120,24, 25, 10 and 56 plus short walk

Tram (Blue Route) to Spring Lane / City Road (+ 1 mile walk through Manor Fields Park)

Tram (Yellow Route) to Cricket Inn Road (+ 1 mile walk via Maltravers Road to Manor Lane)

Train If you are coming from further afield to travel to Sheffield Manor lodge then why not get a Train to Sheffield From here you can get either the blue or yellow tram or a bus from Sheffield Interchange (5 minutes’ walk across the main road outside the train station and head right).

Dogs on site

Lots of local dog walkers use our open spaces for their daily walks but regretfully we cannot allow dogs into our Tudor grounds or farm area. Dogs are welcome at the outside picnic spaces at the cafe, on the arena and outside the Discovery Centre where they can admire the views over Sheffield. Guide dogs are welcome throughout the site.

Accessability

Our aim is to make SML as welcoming and enjoyable as possible to everyone and we are continuously trying to improve the physical accessibility of our site.

We have disabled parking at the Discovery Centre and our new cafe has a disabled parking bay.  At Manor Cottages all parking is close by the entrance.

All our sites have accessible toilets.
